We Are Artists Commissioning New Works of Art

Charles Marowitz said, “We get what we expect and we expect what we have been led to expect, and it is only when we don’t get what we have been led to expect that we are on the threshold of having an experience.”

We are artists interested in experiences. We use our labor to give life to new works of art music for the voice. We work to nurture our collective use of vocal art music for connecting with each other. We value hidden stories, unexpected experiences, deep and authentic communication, and emotional generosity.

Singing magnifies music’s electric communicative power. New vocal compositions are a fresh jolt, a sudden flood of that energy that we can all plug into and be transformed by.

We support creators whose medium is the collaborative energy of this art form. We seek out composers and librettists who want to get involved. We commission new vocal scores – operas, songs, ensembles, other formats – and produce premiere performances of the resulting works. We invite all listeners to come see and hear and participate in the birth of these new works, and to connect with each other and with art in one of the most spectacular multi-media shared imagination spaces there has ever been.

Human-Made

Seven Sisters Productions supports human artists and human art-making.

We do not employ any art product or art practice that uses generative AI. Seven Sisters Productions are human-made.

We welcome collaboration and community with all who feel about human-made art as we do, folks of every race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, and lived experience, who want to make art and be in community with each other.
